Elizabeth McAndrew is currently rotating through an assistant's position in the Vice President's office at Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant. After graduation, Elizabeth joined the Calvert Cliffs engineer staff as a core designer and was responsible for the previous two core designs for the two unit site. In the past three years with Constellation Energy, Elizabeth has been involved with start-up physics testing, fuel moves, and steam generator inspections. Previously, Elizabeth worked for Northern States Power Company which intern became the Nuclear Management Company as a co-op in their core design and safety analysis group.

Currently, Elizabeth is working on a M.A. in Teaching Leadership from the College of Notre Dame. This course of study focuses on adult learners and professional training. In 2001, Elizabeth graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering where she served as Student Chair to the ABET accreditation and Feedback Chair for the Co-Op committee.

Since joining Calvert Cliffs, Elizabeth has served as the initiating President of the Southern Maryland NA-YGN. As President, Elizabeth organized a Mid-Atlantic ski weekend where participants from Southern Maryland, PSEG, and Westinghouse participated. She also organized a Mid-Atlantic team building activity in Washington D.C. where participants from Southern Maryland, PSEG, Westinghouse, and the NRC completed a scavenger hunt and saw a professional hockey game. In May, Elizabeth is hosting a mini-professional development conference for the young professionals in the Mid-Atlantic region where the group will focus on leadership principals.

Elizabeth has been active within Constellation Energy working on a number of initiatives to provide professional development, networking , mentoring, and leadership opportunities to the young professionals working with her. As part of a new hire initiative, Elizabeth and other young professionals from her company helped design and develop the process Constellation will be using to hire and develop young professionals. She also helped organize the fossil division and Nine Mile Point of Constellation to have a similar Young Professional Groups as the Southern Maryland NA-YGN.
