The PEW Center
The Pew Center on Global Climate Change is a non-profit, non-partisan and independent
organization dedicated to providing credible information, straight answers and innovative
solutions in the effort to address global climate change. Established in 1998 by the Pew
Charitable Trusts, the Center is led by Eileen Claussen, former U.S. Assistant Secretary of
State for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs, and staffed by a
dedicated team of professionals who are committed to advancing the debate in a credible and
stimulating manner.
The International
Petroleum Industry Environmental Conservation Association
This association has guides to climate change terminology and to the negotiations.
The Energy Information Agency
This arm of the US Department of Energy has compiled a lot of research on greenhouse
gas emission, future energy needs, and the impact of the Kyoto protocol on the US energy
industry.
The UW-Madison Fusion Technology Institute
While a student, Scott White performed a number of analyses on the energy payback ratio
and CO2 emissions form a number of energy sources.
