Workshop: Keys to Career Success Workshop: Keys to Career Success

NA-YGN is sponsoring a professional development seminar in conjunction with the American Nuclear Society Annual Meeting in Milwaukee, WI on Saturday June 16, 2001. The purpose of the seminar is to provide young professionals, graduate students, and undergraduate students (junior or senior level) in nuclear science and technology with the essential skills needed to take them forward to the next stage of career success. Through this seminar you will learn:

  • Successful career planning and elements of goal-setting skills to get you where you want to be in the future.
  • How to achieve balance in your life, maintaining both commitment and motivation for your career.
  • How to successfully navigate office politics.

Workshop moderators include Dr. Carolyn Hines and Mr. William Hines, Jr., of C.W. Hines and Associates, Inc.

ANS Special Session: Business Challenges for the Young Generation

This session is to be held on June 19 at the Milwaukee ANS Meeting. There will be a morning panel (senior professionals and leaders) and an afternoon panel (younger professionals) to help discussion on how to bring more young minds into the nuclear profession. The panel members span the profession and can foster discussion as to new solutions to this vital issue. We hope that all will attend both sessions to help maintain the continuity of the dialogue.
