NA-YGN ANNOUNCEMENTS

Renew Your NA-YGN Membership

 

NA-YGN Bylaws require that all NA-YGN memberships be renewed annually.  To renew your membership, simply confirm your contact information by visiting the NA-YGN membership renewal form.  Alumni members may also update their information using this form.  NA-YGN continues to be a dues free organization.

To be eligible to vote in the March election of NA-YGN officers, memberships must be renewed by February 28, 2005.

 

COMING SOON: NA-YGN Elections

 

NA-YGN officer elections will be held March 7- March 11, 2005.  Nominations for election candidates are needed by February 23, 2005.  Offices up for election include Vice President, Communications Chair, Public Information Chair, Canadian Affairs Chair, Mexican Affairs Chair, and U.S. Affairs Chair.   For more information on these positions, nomination requirements, or the election, visit http://www.na-ygn.org/election.

 

GET INVOLVED: Join an NA-YGN Committee!

 

NA-YGN rules and bylaws allow for the formation of standing committees to work toward the specific goals of the organization.  Two standing committees,  the NA-YGN Publications Committee and the NA-YGN Program Committee, are being established effective March 1, 2005.

 

Publications Committee

 

The Publications Committee will be responsible for quality and timeliness of all NA-YGN publications, including the NA-YGN newsletter, Go Nuke!, and the NA-YGN web site.  In addition to committee members-at-large, a volunteer is needed to serve as Go Nuke! Content Editor.  For more information on the Publications Committee and the Go Nuke! Content Editor position, please visit the call for publications committee volunteers or contact Dave Pointer.

 

Program Committee

 

The Program Committee will be responsible for organizing all NA-YGN contributions and content for industry conferences and meetings, including but not limited to the annual NA‑YGN workshop, the meetings of the American Nuclear Society, the annual meeting of the Canadian Nuclear Society, and the International Youth Nuclear Congress.  In addition to committee members-at-large, two volunteers are needed to serve as Program Committee Session Lead and Program Committee Interaction Lead.  For more information on the Program Committee or the two Lead positions, please visit the call for program committee volunteers or contact Amy Buu.

 

GET INVOLVED: Join an NA-YGN Internet Forum

 

NA-YGN is interested in increasing networking and knowledge transfer opportunities for our members.  In that regard, we are "beta" testing two mailing list serves.

 

These mailing list serves will allow subscribed members to request information, ask questions, or make comments two preliminary topics:  Reactor Engineering and Safety Analysis.  Based on the success of these two list serves more topics will be added and hosted by NA-YGN.
