This session was cosponsored by the Operations and Power Division of the ANS. The population of the Developed World is aging. The nuclear science and technology industry is not immune to this trend. While the challenge is exacerbated by slow growth in the nuclear power sector over the past two decades, it is by no means limited to the generation of electricity. Addressing the issue of knowledge conservation is a critical issue for an industry faced with many soon-to-be-retirees and few young professionals. This session provided a forum for the discussion of approaches employed and dissemination of lessons learned in the on-going efforts to improve knowledge transfer between generations in all fields of nuclear science and technology. This session included the presentation of five papers followed by a discussion:
